If you’re reading this, you survived the holidays. Congratulations. I also made it through, obviously, although not unscathed. It was my intention to start 2022 off strong with all the webcomics, but just before New Year’s I went and dislocated my shoulder walking home from work in a blizzard. Thusly I am convalescing with my goddamn drawing arm in a sling, following doctor’s orders to a bare minimum and biding my time until I can get back to work in earnest.
Since I can’t do much else, now seems like a good time to let you know where to find my comics:
THEM THERE HILLS: The Grand Gazette, which has been publishing TTH for nearly nine years, is going on hiatus this week, possibly never to return. With this news it seems like my stupidest, crappiest, most financially lucrative and widely read comic strip endeavor is coming to a close. It was a life-changing experience to make comics for a newspaper and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity. In celebration I’ll be posting TTH strips daily at DRUNK DUCK until I run out of material, which will take at least a year.
DNR: I’ll be reposting my memoir about life as a health careworker starting next Wednesday, also at DRUNK DUCK, complete with touch-ups and author’s commentary. Why am I doing this slowly, rather than just uploading 800+ pages all at once? I want to give myself time to prepare for a potential fourth and final book to the series, called DNR: ADDENDUM. While I have enough material for the book, I’m unsure if I have the will to put it to paper, so no promises. We’ll see what the future holds.
DOZER MANIFESTO: Hard to believe I’ve been working on this book for a goddamn decade. What can I say? It’s the most challenging project I’ve ever taken on. The artistic demands definitely push my abilities to the limit, but it’s the mental strain that gets to me. Sometimes working on this book really makes me fucking depressed as all fucking fuck. When DM gets me down, I have to step away from it. Sometimes that’s just for a few days, sometimes it’s for multiple months. You can find what I’ve done so far at either DRUNK DUCK or WEBTOONS. I’m only about 1/3 of the way through the next chapter right now. When it’s ready to post I will definitely let you know. Until then I just keep telling myself that slow and steady wins the race.
NSFW: It is with the greatest of pleasures that I return to the gutter with a sexy, taboo, experimental comic magazine type thing chock full of naked people and comics about fucking. I’m putting the finishing touches on the first “season” now and will post what I’ve got on M-W-F starting in February on DRUNK DUCK (assuming they’ll allow it) and right here in this li’l ol’ blog. CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE THIS!
